Scammers are sending fraudulent emails to certain Westpac Group customers requesting changes to supplier account details. These emails appear genuine, with small alterations, such as a dot or a letter added to the email ID.

To protect yourself, always verify any changes to account details by calling your supplier or buyer directly before making any payments to the new account advised through email communication.

Never call the number noted in the email as this could be compromised. Always perform a callback using the number you hold in your company records and with an authorised party.
